CURIOSITY, WITH RECEIPTS

Research, fact-checking, AI assistance, and what happens when something needs correcting.

Follow the evidence.

Each episode begins with a question and research from primary and reference sources. The aim is to explain the underlying idea clearly, introduce technical language in context, and show where an analogy stops being useful.

Sources are listed in the video description and, where the list is longer, its pinned comment. Please start there if you want to read more or check a claim.

Check the claims, not just the story.

The channel’s production workflow includes a separate fact-checking pass against the cited sources. Dates, names, numbers, and scientific claims need evidence. Claims that cannot be supported should be revised or removed.

A separate AI pass is used in that process; it is not independent peer review or a guarantee of correctness. The responsibility for what is published stays with the channel.

How AI is used.

Research and scripts are developed with AI assistance, and narration is synthetic. Technical diagrams are drawn in code. Some atmospheric illustrations and video shots are generated with AI; they illustrate an idea rather than document a real event.

Episode descriptions explain how that video was made. The wafer and outback artwork on this website are AI-generated channel illustrations. We do not present generated likenesses as authentic photographs of historical people.

Getting it right includes putting it right.

If you spot a possible error, email [email protected] or comment under the video. Include the video URL, timestamp, the statement in question, and a source that helps explain the issue.

We review the evidence and correct confirmed errors. Depending on the issue, a correction may be noted in the description or pinned comment, or require an updated video. If the evidence is uncertain or disputed, the explanation should make that uncertainty clear.

Make commercial interests visible.

If an episode or link involves a paid sponsorship, supplied product, or affiliate relationship, that relationship should be disclosed alongside the relevant content. Referencing a company, researcher, or product does not itself mean they sponsor or endorse the channel.
